Real Estate salespeople are always on the go. Communicating with clients and other agents, accessing listings and hotsheets; these simple tasks are fundamental to today's REALTORS®. With houses to show and meetings to attend, REALTORS® can't afford to be restricted to their office. It is no wonder that new mobile technology heavily impacts the lives of today's REALTORS®.
The current "must-have" gadgets on the market are the wireless handheld devices. "In the future these handheld devices will be used like cellular phones. Every REALTOR® will have one," says RealtyServer Managing Director, Wayne Berthin.
Because of the apparent rise in this industry RealtyServer introduced PocketINTERFACE™ over 3 years ago. It was originally introduced as an offline tool which allows REALTORS® to upload listing data from their desktop to their portable device. However, this offline version is rapidly becoming obsolete as the world turns wireless and RealtyServer has now diverted its handheld software development away from the static version and into the wireless market.
The handheld devices wireless software was recently upgraded in February, 2006. RealtyServer specialist, Kevin Priebe, implemented three new searching options; by address, by MLS® # and by agent name. He also created the inter-board access option and the hotsheets feature. This inter-board access allows REALTORS® to log onto other boards as a guest and search under that board's listings all from the palm of your hand.
But PocketINTERFACE™ will not stop there. Technology, like the REALTOR®, does not sit still. In the future of PocketINTERFACE™ agents will have the opportunity to contact other agents using the In Touch software module … a new feature now being deployed on INTERFACExpress™.
