The cornerstone product of RealtyServer, INTERFACE™, was engineered by
Wayne Berthin in 1998. After working as a Real Estate agent he found himself inspired to create his own MLS® software system.
Right from the outset, the system grabbed the attention of local real estate agents, especially that of Mike Fowles. At this
time Mike Fowles was a successful real estate agent with more than 20 years of experience in the business. Mike and Wayne
quickly found they could form a strong partnership with Wayne's product and Mike's marketing abilities and depth of real
estate experience. It wasn't long after this that Brian Hodgson, the final of the three partners, joined the team. Brian
brought to the company decades of experience in the MLS® software business, having been the principal programmer of
the Vandat system which had served tens of thousands of REALTORS® at dozens of Boards during the direct dial-up/mainframe
computer era. Brian was also the creator of the highly successful WAVE™ system, which was one of the first Windows®
based MLS® products. The three partners joined together to create RealtyServer, which instantly took life in the industry.
As the world moved to the Internet, RealtyServer developed a browser based system, INTERFACExpress™, to complement their fully distributed Windows® system, INTERFACE™. Then in 2004, recognizing the need for mobility, RealtyServer added PocketINTERFACE™ to serve handheld PDAs in both a wireless online, and a distributed offline format. Now RealtyServer is one of few providers who offer complete MLS® solutions both online and offline.
Averaging 4 new boards each year, RealtyServer is continuously growing. RealtyServer is currently providing services to more than 20 boards internationally and is the sole operator of the British Columbia province-wide inter-board system... a regional service which provides inter-board MLS® access to approximately 17,000 REALTORS®.
